I am going to be a part of an upcoming 50 paintings in 50 days show at the 20th St. art gallery in Sacramento, CA, along with a dozen other artists. It is a fun challenge. The guidelines of the show are as follows:

Artists will create fifty 6″x6″ works on unprimed masonite over the course of fifty days. All fifty pieces will be tied together by a repeating subject matter or theme. This opportunity will allow you and others to see the artistic changes that might happen through a daily artwork. This show will give the buyer a chance to collect many examples of different artists work.

I appreciate Claude Monets paintings and his series of paintings in particular. So, I have decided to paint fifty paintings of the golden gate bridge in the impressionistic style in series of ten or so (Roughly from five different vantage points).

I have started the first series and will begin posting them within a week. All works will be for sale at the 20th street art gallery for the duration of the show. If some paintings don’t sell at the show, I’ll post them for sale on this blog.
